my mom taught him for years at the lakewood equestrian center. he uses things that she taught him, the dollar bill trick to keep your seat up was her. haha its crazy to see someone become one of the best when you knew them when they were just starting out. i havnt seen matt in years though. if anyone talks to him, ask him about michele bloomquist.

Matt Mills rocks! I met him at Reining By The Bay in 2008 and he signed my Outwest Stallion Station hat. :D
I adore the way he trains, on a nice loose rein with a very responsive horse. Easy Otie Whiz did beautifully under him and I'd do anything for the chance to ride with him. :)

RULES FOR JUDGING:
To rein a horse is not only to guide him, but also to control his every movement. The best reined horse should be willingly guided or controlled with little or no apparent resistance...
Matt knows his stuff!

I like this trainer, but something in his training is not so good, for example start of circels, when the horse have hid head up and down and up and down and after that he go to galop. It's no good, i think...

dang he was changing leads nicely. i cannot wait to go over lead changing with cody(my Horse) he is a Bronse Medal Champion in Reining. You may know this amazing horse called Joe Cody. Well thats Codys Grand Father. Codys full name is King Coffee Klegg. I love riding him. Even though he is going to be 20 this year he is in good condition responds to everything except lead changes.
