Personally, I don't give a rat's ass whether these were the 'Real' Drifters, or not.
What I really love is the soul, execution, style, and grace of this performance.
Something in the back of my head always told me that Procol Harum had oceans of soul - all without playing 'Soul' music. Ya know?
I can't quite describe it.

These are johnny moore,s drifters,Faye treadwell left the uk 2001 some say bankrupt, some say bad health, but the point is these guys kept the drifters going.Only now has Tina treadwell put together 4 unknowns and called them the Drifters it all boils down to money and the large fan base in the uk.What has been done to these guys sucks!

Correction, I now find that these are NOT the Drifters connected to The Treadwells, but they sound GREAT! and I understand also that members of this group sang with the late, great Johnny Moore, so this IS the group that has the lineage.

This was a stellar performance in terms of creativity and execution. Gary Booker has a lot of soul. These are the Drifters that have legitimate lineage to the George & Faye Treadwell produced group that made those 16 top forty hits in the US.

Gary could write and sing gospel if he wanted to! You go, Anglican boy!

Amazing harmonies, but the Drifter's seem to be getting younger! Gary Brooker was the voice of Procol Harum and a huge part of that band (that was. He's the co-writer of Whiter Shade of Pale (along with Fisher and Reid) and many other songs.
