Pushing or pulling the Prowler sled is a killer workout for building up muscular endurance in the legs, hips, arms, and shoulders. This video is of my initial trial of the prowler and I was impressed by just how hard this machine really is.

If you have access to one, I highly recommend incorporating it as part of your workouts. Simply doing a 5-10 laps with this machine at the end of your workouts will really help build up your overall conditioning.

Another big plus to this is it will really get that lactic acid burn going throughout your legs, which is great for stimulating natural Growth Hormone release.

    Guys have made home made versions. Just do a google image search for the term "prowler sled" and you'll see tons of pics.

  • I used this at my new gym with the personal trainer who owns it. He said you should keep your arms stretched out while holding it.

  • I used to do this with my car parked in neutral. My friend and I would push the car lol. I need to find another alternative though.

  • alternative: have a bag on the floor with the weight yu want( could be a 10lb rice bag), put your hands on top of the bag while being in a spring position at a start line. then just explode and run from one end to another keeping your hands on the bag and pushing it with yu

  • haha I just realized I do this same exercise with heavy boxes at work

  • A good way to do it is by using the higher handles one way down, and then immediately go back with the lower bucket position handles. That way you don't have to waste energy turning the thing around.

  • what if i eat what ever i want  fryed foods and pizza and good foods too, but i try to work out hard and build muscle and blast my muscles, is that a bad way or bodybuilding or what do you think? or is good as long as you work out hard
