Add: &fmt=18 on to the end of this link to get the sound back. GRRR Youtube. This little girl has beaten sooooo many odds - look how beautiful she is! When she was diagnosed in utero with trisomy 18, the doctors suggested that her parents terminate the pregnancy, because the odds were slim that she would even make it to term. Instead, we have all been so blessed to have her in our lives.
She is eight months old now, but in the video she was not quite seven months old. Jamie is six weeks older, and is fascinated by Ava :-) We love you, baby Ava!

my daughters name is also Ava(Ava Jaelea Grace) ans she also was born with full trisomy 18. we just celebrated her 1st b-day feb. 26. it's great to hear stories about other children doing well with trisomy 18.

She is so cute. I wonder why there is such a difference between the regular T 18 and the mosaic. It is the same with Down's syndrome and DS mosaic. I am glad she is doing so well.

Yes. They didn't know how much she would be affected until she was born (and of course told them they should consider terminating). A few heart problems they corrected with surgery, and one funny toe. So far so good :-) I have a new video to upload where she is standing, and cruising around, and she climbs up stairs with the railing now - 14 months old!

my beautiful granddaughter was born just 5 hours ago with Trisomy 18. So far she is hanging in there, your video gives me hope.

My prayers are with you and your family. Ava will be celebrating her 1st birthday this Saturday. There IS hope.

good luck to your daughter. she is so pretty. my little cousin passed away 30 minutes before she was born from t 18. natalee age 7

Thank you, and I am sorry to hear about your cousin, that must be so hard. Ava is actually my friends' daughter. They have really been a beautiful inspiration to us.
