.................forty years later.

@doormagic I agree with you about war money, but look at all those military supersonic aircraft. They are almost all one or two seater planes that cost $5bn (ish) each to purchase, need maintainance after every sortie, cost a heck of a lot in fuel and are otherwise rather hard to adapt/redesign into a passenger plane. Oh, and by the way, the russian concorde never worked. Neither did the passenger one (not properly) anyway, which is a pity as they are nice aircraft.

Concorde was built well ahead of its time. It will come back in one way or in another in the future

QUE BELLO.......

@windows7rocks1 I disagree. If there are thousands of supersonic military aircraft flying ,civilians also can may exist. It's all a matter of will, the Russian concorde was made for the transportation of troops, if it was only for civilians would never have existed. The war money is stronger than the rest of the world, unfortunately.
-
@doormagic plus regulations forbid supersonic travel over land due to noise, which limits the routes the plane can fly.
-
@doormagic because airlines want less planes moving more people at less cost. Supersonic airliners are too expensive and carry too few people to be economic at this time.
-
Well looks like the 787 technology took over very quickly!
-
Thumbs up if you honestly think this is bias.

biggest piece of crap ever built!!! Long live Boeng!
When making a new Concorde? Spend billions of euros in upgrades for combat aircraft and no one can make an airplane that takes two hours from Paris to New York?
