@JCPSYCHO500 well it was confirmed a sequel to the 2010 remake with 3d technology, and it was said that robert englund would be back, it was also said that ronny yu would direct the sequel to the remake, i hope it so, no official information, no source, i dont know but i hope to see rnglund again with the gloves

@jamasianman This interview was done in 2002, they specifically talk in the interview about FvsJ being "in the works" and picking a director, they hadnt even shot any of it yet

It IS sad that he wouldnt do the new NOES reimagining, but Robert knows whether or not he's in the gear he will always be Freddy & he still owns the part -- that's all that really matters. Also, as long as Jackie Earle Haley doesnt think he can take the title in the future, things will be fine.

The new guy is ok...but everyone knows nobody will ever top Englund as Freddy. I hope one day we can see him don the Fedora, red and green striped sweater and glove again. A Nightmare movie without him just isn't the same. We need the wisecracking, psychopathic dreamstalker Freddy that we all know and love back if for only one more time.

No Mark's got alot fans. Admittedly he's bigger as Luke, but he's still pretty well known for the Joker role. He really was the closest to the comics and was the best in my opinion.
