The priming of the engine which he does at the beginning is crutial'y important.

So, if primed and tuned correctly, when you back flip it, you bounce the piston up to compression and ignite the primed fuel/air charge, which then drives the piston down to run/rotate correctly thereafter, because the piston doesn't go past TDC on the bounce.....that 'bout it?
Why, sometimes will the engine run backwards when you do this?
And.....
Why did the video cut out and then return with a puddle if gas underneath? Over priming?

Always start my os1.08 this way. First flip every single time.

@eastdave2 I live in the Bahamas, since our gas is shipped in from the US, 15% nitro is $27 USD per gallon!

wow i cant believe how easily that starts.. you see all the guys with electris staters sitting there spinning it over for a 10 or 15 seconds sumtimes

Same way I start my K&B .61 Starts on the first flip every time!
So long ago I cant remember, poss over primed as I wanted to make sure perry pump had its first fill. Why they run backwards, guess the same reason they run forward, there are just two cycles :-))

Should stand corrected on that Gallon of fuel its £16 for half a gallon about $27 so $55 for US Gallon. I would still prefer too live in the Bahamas:-)
