  • Hi Gauranga what you do to popularize ashtanga is great. I can however understand TheFlancillo - You seem to rush through advanced poses while core postures are far from their full expression. I don't think that Sharath would allow you to progress into third series. He would stop you in Kapotasana until you're able to catch your heels. Now going where uou should't be is pure expression of ego:P In terms of popularfizing ashtanga you do great job, In terms of tradition u should stop in kapotasan

  • @tangri4 : Maybe Sharath would stop me, I don't know, never practiced with him. Other teachers let me through the 2nd series but you're right, my backbends need improvement. I promise you to catch my heels by the end of this summer, OK? There are a few other difficult points in the 2nd, but I like hand balances, so I also practice 3rd series, however far from perfect. I want to stick to the first three till I perfect them. For your info I practice each series twice a week. Thanks for commenting

  • Thx srram. I like positive comments although flasttesing is not good for the ego. But I like them because for most people it is difficult to appreciate others, so this is a good practice to show appreciation. And I'm trying my best of course.

  • @GaurangaDas Cool. Namaste.

  • @5viviwill Thanks for commenting. Yes I am trying to do the grounding work which takes time. I hope to put together more accurate demos in the future.

  • GD, By your equanimity to negative comments your practice is bearing fruit. The patience to slowly and steadily build your practice would develop even more. Namaste.

  • I dont know why flancillo is being so rude - you have a wonderful practice - if that is not obvious from the video, it certainly is from your equinamous response. Thank you for sharing. I wish I could do half of what you demonstrate.

  • Well, we filmed this with a photo camera. She was not trained.

  • Thanx Flancillo for commenting. I will try my best to improve my asanas. Watch me in a year from now. I like challenge that's why I experiment with difficult asanas. Otherwise I concentrate on primary and intermediate for now. So what about you? Have you uploaded any of your practice videos? I'd love to see them and learn.
