6:00 ma lin changed to shakehand...LOL
-
just imagine if ma lin had long, beautiful flowing hair at 1:29

@jayjaymatt It's actually very obvious when both players are at middle/far range. It's also obvious from how ZJK/Wanghao's and Malong's games against Joo turned out. Malong's forehand is not as explosive but his extreme talent is his fast connection between every strokes, no matter left or right, or the transition from left to right. If you could understand chinese probably you will benefit a lot from chinese commentators from their national team

@InvinsibleChew its the other way around mate, zhang takes it early on the half volley using the other players power, ma long can generate power from any where off anything. zhang jike is probably better at handling speed coming at him like timo boll, but doesn't generate enough power himself for me.

@jayjaymatt I really wondered how so many people commented about "ZJK not having the massive forehand as Malong/Wangliqin". It's so apparent that ZJK is the Chinese player whose forehand is closest to WLQ's at his prime. Malong's forehand is short of power and he usually borrowed the energy from his opponent's return; and this has long been an issue addressed by Chinese coaches.

@bigwallace33 LiuGuoLiang is the first who did that
-
both players at their best. Didn't see MaLin played this well even in his prime against WLQ
-
look at zhang's legs... dam

N sei quem é o mais viciado aí!!!!
Acho que zhang é melhor
Zhang Jike reminds me of Jimmy Connors who had no BIG serve and forehand as 2 well-regarded prerequisites for a champion in tennis, and yet who was able to beat powerful loopers such as Bjorn Borg and Ivan Lendl. Zhang’s near-table playing style characterized by forehand loops and backhand blocks (both consistent, fast and spinny ) with good ball placement makes him a very detrimental player against powerful loopers like Ma Lin and Ma Long. ☆☆☆☆☆

@Topspinify seems you live in the past. Hungaria may have had great players in the 70s.. but there were also great players from Sweden, France , Germany ..etc and the latter still have great players. Where is Hungary TT nowadays ?
