Mov. 6 from "The Proclamation of the Christ", a Cantata for Choir, soloists and orchestra. This movement is in two parts, a chorale-derived section and a large fugue going through many tonal centers and feelings. While Baroque in spirit, the fugue is decisively modern with twists and turns. The piece is meant to be very worshipful to God, not as a work of art to be analysed or a exercise in counterpoint. This piece is a declaration of my worship to God, nothing more and nothing less.
The Text: From the NKJV Bible, Isaiah 53: 4-5
Part I: Chorale
4Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
Part II: Fugue
And by His stripes we are healed.
Comments welcome as always!

Good work, but I think it'll be better to have more counter part in the sequence part, and you can use more major 7 chord at the sequence part (which can be done by counter part), since these chords have been used a lot in the adagio part.

Your admiration for Bach is very clear, but I also find a big influence of Mahler in your music. Congratulations!
