My sound system (OLD)

This is the soundsystem that i just installed in my 2000 Ford Taurus. i built the box myself(this is a vid of the old box)and did all the installing of the cap, amp, head unit, dash kit, subs, and wiring. it took about 2 1/2 weeks to finish but its worth it. the cap is 5 farad and the amp is a legacy 4000 watt amp. my subs are 15 inch 4 ohm dual voice coil, wired in parallel. the bass is a little distorted here but thats cause the camera is not to great. song: party like a rockstar.

they are wired to the capacitor thats on the backside of the box. then there is an inline switch between the cap power and neons

Do u have those subs setup in a freeair setup?

they were a semi-sealed kind of free air deal but this is a vid of my old box.

my new box is a single sub sealed at 2.75 cubic feet.

it hits alot harder than the old dual box.

the key is getting the right sealed box volume.

that can be as if not more important than the brand of sub and how much power u run to the sub

i am trying to install a radiao in my 04 taurus and i cant fine a adaptor to plug in to the car raido harnes that i can wire up to the radio, did u have to cut off the cip that plug stight into the factory radio and just wire every wire up or do they make a adaptor?

okay so i have this car and i need a new head unit so i can put subs in it... how did you put the unit in without messing with the heat and cooling knobs attached to the stock system? i'm really wondering how its gonna look

how did u take ur radio out. i hav a 02 taurus nd i wanna put a new head unit in but i cant rip the radio out cuz its attached to the ac unit. how did u do urs?

@redbutt222 you have to buy a dash kit :( i have a 2001 taurus. its a pain in the ass that you have to do that. but its neccisary
