So Long At The Fair

Found this song the other night, it was written when I was around 14-15 yrs old after reading the book of the same name, by Hadley Irwin. The song is modified a bit from the story, and is only slightly less depressing than the book.

I had actually forgotten about this song until I "found" it in my old notebook o'songs I've had since I was maybe 12 or so. Proof that I've been writing songs about books even longer than I thought! :-)

Apologies for the blatant Rush lyrical rip-off in the 2nd verse. I was a young teen.... now I know how to make my riff and lyric rip offs less noticeable.
