The star, as well as all the other props in the show, are controlled by Vixen software and Renard controllers. The star has 3 channels, so the pulsating is controlled via software and can be varied (other pulsating styles are used in different songs).

Thank you. The purpose is to remind people of what Christmas is all about, and I think this song helps to do that.
