He is right though about the early peak civilization..we haven't progresed much since then and its sad because we have brilliant academic minds and we dont lack in anything other than the will to exceed.

I do have to say that we are not experts in Greek or Turkish cuisine - we do live concert & comedy videos. ;^) All I'm doing is posting what I find on the indicated web sites. (Check 'em out for yourself.)

However, if we ever do a cooking show, it looks like we can have a great panel debate with you guys and Jim Mendrinos about what constitutes a gyro!

WOW its pretty obvious you are all not greek. when i said he isnt greek i didnt mean technically. He may be greek through his ansestors but he isnt a true greek.&for this debate you are all having gyro meat IS cooked on a vertically spit that rotates in order to get cooked as someone is cutting slabs of it off. those slabs are then put on a heated peta bread with lettuce tomato and tzatziki sauce. That was not quoted from wikipedia or whatever but it is all true. Ask any true greek

Gyros is the shit too.. every time I go back to Pirea.. that's the first thing I ask for :D

thats almost all correct. gyros dont traditionally have lettuce in them, that was added on to americanize them more. and yes, kebobs are similar to souvlakia. those are meat served on sticks in america, or in greece commonly they are served in a pita with fries inside aswell.
