according to desert lore and the quar'an the jinn are like man but live in an other form of existance, capable of good and evil, free will and such, even satan is describe as a jinn i think, he winds up converting to islam, jinns are supposed to live for hundreads of years, anyways I'm an atheist, but thats how the story goes
