Here is some fab, slightly romantic archive footage of Gypsy life in Poland - early sixties. In Europe during the Nazi Holocaust- Offical fig.1.5m Gypsies killed- These would have been Gypsies with papers, in those days most Gypsies did not have papers. From Eur Gypsy sources we hear that 100,000's of gypsies were slaughtered before getting to the camps. Unoffical sources estimate the ethnic cleansing of Gypsies by Nazi's was more in the region 4-6 million!
Gysyies have never had a chance to voice their own Memorial or grief over this 'censored' tragedy. Google Codona www.travellerstimes.org.uk robert barton trust www.gypsy-traveller.org

  • I don't think it is better. You should not have to live your life in disguise....here I don't think really anyone cares that you are Romani, however I could very well be wrong.

It is a shame that the "Country of the Free", as we have so greedily (and stupidly) dubbed ourselves, can't even accept those who want freedom. If there's one thing I've learned in this world, it's that God is the only one you can look towards for true freedom. And I ahd to learn it the HARD way.

  • Your page spews hatred against everyone, not just us... pure fascist "gold." I didn't know whether to laugh or throw up. I do not have to suffer from fascists but others do. Oh, in case you remove that fascist drivel and hatespeak, I have your profile screenshotted.

This is really choice (I picked it off of your favorites): watch?v=gnFp_IakCL8

Love the Hitler references. That really shows what you are made of. There is NO reason to debate with you because you are, well, a fascist.

  • @BlainePistolle Rom were declared "free people of color" long before abolition, the decision was made because white people wanted to marry romanis, they hold tribunals to assert if they were negros.romanis came as white slaves(white as romanis are now in england),mixed with blacks, then declared "free people of color" then lost in the white population.the ones that married blacks kept the culture as there are afro-romani communities now.the many that came from Walachia(Romania),were never enslaved

  • @BlainePistolle Where were Roma slaves after 1865? 18 DE 65, Secretary of State Seward, in a proclamation, declared amendment XIII (abolition of slavery) to have been adopted. The world definitely took notice: 3 JA 66 Dr. Livingstone sailed from the UK to begin his campaign against the African slave trade.

  • @P1B1U1H1 no, Roma were slaves predating the Portugese invasion carrying slaves to the Americas- Cromwell sent us here by the thousands as slaves before Africans, moreso, Roma were still enslaved even AFTER blacks were no longer slaves in the Americas.

  • @BlainePistolle Let me know more. I have been seeking information on this topic. A Romanian racist asserted that Romania was superior to the US because 1) it ended Roma slavery shortly after independence & 2) the slavery ended four years before the US slavery. Am now discovering why there is Jew hatred in European countries where there are no Jews. They want to murder the Rom. Let's prevent another O Porajmos.

  • @ArisztidZ That slavery point fascinates; would love to read any link you can provide on it. Is there greater hatred for the Roma in Romania than elsewhere? Did Romania acknowledge this horror? This has little or nothing to do with the US because we barely know you; 90% of my Roma knowledge emerged in the last two weeks. By contrast, slavery assuredly ties into Nazi philosophy, as the "master race-slave race" was a basic tenet. Thus, the genocide would be occasioned from multiple sources.

  • @P1B1U1H1 Rroma were enslaved in Romania for 500 years, ending in the mid 1800s.

  • @ArisztidZ Begging & petty theft thought to be part of being Roma are false prejudices. And yet think for a second. What if they were true? Who kills beggars or petty thieves? Yet that's why Nazis decided to extirpate an entire people. That's also why they are common murderers. Google murder on the news section and evaluate three dozen or so cases; very likely you will say in 95% of the cases "he/she took a life for that?"

  • @BlainePistolle All minorities suffer hatred, but the worst prejudice still remains reserved for African Americans; that is because of our history of slavery, of course. America on the whole, however, is a very tolerant place for the Roma and for everyone else; no Jobbik commercials here. When did the gorjas take Romani children from their homes?

  • @carolynan Poles protected the Roma, just as they did Jews. The difficulty with assessing deaths and survivors with the Roma lies in an itinerant lifestyle, which also likely, although not definitely, protected them. Jews were a communal bunch, so the murderers could readily find them. The end point was the same, of course. The story is vital because it renders even more appalling the Nazi pigs. The reason for killing the Roma was because people thought they were a bit of a nuisance!
