The host, Omaar, was born to a wealthy Somali family, educated at arguably the best university in the world, married the daughter of an English lord, had a career with the BBC many of us would envy--and indeed a life many of us would envy--all the while complaining of a racist and anti-Islamic West. Poor fellow.

Somehow, I doubt the objectivity of his reporting.

@IbinAlnur, The West got the word "algebra" from the Arabic word "al-jabr", which referred to a mathematics (not a person's name) that had been largely forgotten in the West. The ancient Greeks, Egyptians and Babylonians knew algebra. Muslims did not invent it; but they did reintroduce it to mainstream European thought.

@IbinAlnur Kind of like how Islam in the PRESENT ages is ruled by their faith leaders and are killed for things such as "witch craft"? The west made it out of the dark ages. Islam is still in it.
