Johnny Winter is a fun act to see, but one tour he was lagging a bit. The next our(s) he had a phenomenal kid kind of complimenting him through the act. Johnny Winter has pulled it back together really well. That life looks easy, but trust me it can wear you down damn quick, and at his age even faster. I am still checking his site to see when he will come to town again. I drove 1100 miles to see Jr Brown, and may drive the same to see Mr Winter. Health fails as we get older. Don't knock JW 4 it
what a bunch of jerks!! I have been going to Johnny's shows for 30 years 12 in all the man is a fucking blues guitar legend see how you are doing when you are 70 years old !! the man has blues in his souls and soul I will be going to see him again at bb kings club in manhattan YOU FRESHBAKEDFISH ARE AN ASS
@freshbakedfish There is no denying Johnny is cool. What is not cool is the desperate attempt to remain in the limelight at the expense of my ear and wallet. Johnny has no business on stage any more. I don't see how he has any more self-respect left when he puts himself out there like this. I'm embarrassed for him...
@freshbakedfish No one is throwing Johnny under the bus. He is simply unable to play and is cashing in on his name to lure people into paying to listen to him play like the old days - which is to say with supreme competence. This is a pathetic display of incompetence which begs our indulgence while requiring that we pay. He doesn't just "make a few mistakes" - that is ALL that he does. It is entirely offensive to the ear. It is not determination I see in Johnny - it is desperation - and I'm sad.
Johnny has given us years and years of great music and I don't think its cool to throw him under the bus just because he is ill. He is a legend and will remain that legend to many. Think of Jerry Garcia, he made a few mistakes when he was failing too but who cares, Its sad people like you are willing to throw great people under the damn bus and talk shit just because of sickness and missed notes or lyrics, Would you talk shit about your mother and throw her under the bus because she is sick
@freshbakedfish Let's face it, Mr. Fish: Commenting on these videos implies we don't have a life. People in glass houses...And Johnny is fading fast; that is, he hasn't been able to play for the past 12 years or so, but now he's very close to being completely unable.
