  • Many doctors do not want to prescribe stimulants because they are a controlled substance and it it more work for them and their office to prescribe these. Prescriptions must be written monthyl, there is concern about patients selling medication on the streets, there is concern that tone of their patients may abuse, misuses or have a bad reaction to the amphetamine. This is not a defense of your MD, just explaining. The best thing would be to find a different doctor.

  • The Adele Diamond PDF that speaks about lower dosages of stimulants for ADHD Inattentive is in a link labeled "Research on ADHD Inattentive" in the left hand column of the Primarily Inattentive ADD webpage.

  • Thanks for your comment. The most comprehensive documentation on this topic is by Adele Diamond, PhD. I have emailed you the PDF and I will post it on my webpage.

  • Thank you for making this video. Im 27. I was diagnosed 4 years ago. I was on Strattera for a while, and it did not help. How can i get my doctor to prescribe adderall? I am not a drug user nor have i been, ever! why am i having problems with doctors thinking i only want adderall to get high??? frustrated!! please answer :(

  • What about strattera? I thought that was like the best shit available for ADHD PI...

  • I cannot thank you enough for making these videos. This is exactly the information I've been searching for.

  • Here you say that there is RESEARCH to support a very low dose of stimulants as beneficial to the ADD-PI patient, and specifically you suggest a 2.5 mg start dose of Adderall.

I would like to try this, but I need the STUD(IES) that you are referring to in order to persuade a prescription from my psychiatrist, who firmly believes that MORE is better.

I have searched your website as well and cannot find such a paper.

Thank you in advance for providing it here.
