Don't be a dolt! If I give you a PERSONAL account of my lifestyle does that not count as fact once it's established that I'm not a liar? In fact, isn't that MORE RELIABLE than observation of me from a distance and the collection of gossip about me? You atheists are such imbeciles!

Facts? Religion does not accompany facts as it relies on belief. Contradictory, however, does accompany religion, religion (especially Islamic) love for their voices to be heard and their beliefs preached.
Everything about religion is a myth, nothing more.

You need to cite the statement in the proper context - and also verify that it was written by the Prophet himself. Jesus referred to the Pharisees as a brood of vipers. He didn't mean that they changed physically into vipers. He was saying that they were METAPHORICAL vipers. And I can understand why someone else might have used the same sort of language also.

cletusnze - So, do you believe it is wrong to question that fact that Allah transformed Jews into apes and pigs, given that there is absolutely no evidence what so ever to back up this claim? By your own reasoning this opinion is deserving of ALL the ridicule that comes its way, unless you can provide the evidence to the contrary.

Oh shut up! An opinion held without the COMPLETE backing of facts and logic is NO DIFFERENT from blind faith and just as condemnable! It CERTAINLY should NOT be aired publicly - and if it does, deserves ALL the ridicule that comes its way.

And what qualifies an opinion to be valid or not?
Perhaps it may give a more informed opinion, but it isn't neccassary.
Just looking at real life events you can give an informed opinion on a religion.
Example; go to islam, state something that contradicts or ridicules their religion and see what happens. An informed "opinion" wouldn't help you.

Once again you can't help inserting nasty opinions into what you've heard perhaps at a beer drinking session. If you really wish to find out about Islam, then read the Koran in as pure a form as is available ANYWHERE - WITH AN OPEN MIND! ONLY THEN will you be qualified to hold an opinion on it - NOT BEFORE!

Perhaps - perhaps not. Until the documents are made public we won't know. However, the Truth is the same - REGARDLESS OF WHERE IT IS DISCOVERED! And It may be discovered QUITE INDEPENDENTLY at different points in time IN THE SAME PLACE or at different places AT THE SAME TIME.

cletusnze, you say 'Let the evidence speak for itself'. I agree - as with the Dead Sea Scrolls, let the world's foremost scholars and scientists (both Muslim and non-Muslim) examine in detail the Topkapi Qur'an; the Tashkent Qur'an and the Yemeni fragments together for comparison, rather than forbidding any close examination. After all, they will all be the same won't they!
