About the remix
MRS had an unexpected approach to this collaboration. Rime's original cut was already a perfect blend Soul Jazz together with a Sticky Boom Bap Hip Hop Groove. With a flawless soul jazz vocal performance it was pleasure to compliment . Instantly inspired & excited the go to instruments were Upright Bass, Rhodes, Vintage Synths, Horns, Stings, Astral Guitar, Percussion, dusty MPC, 808 & begun jamming. The remix takes some interesting turns with the arrangement highlighting Drum N Bass, Neo Soul Hip Hop & Jazz moments. To top it off we tracked down into Solid State Logic SSL to glue all the elements together & give it that warm tight feeling.
