Gallery of about 150 images of brush paintings on stoneware pottery. In sequence: installed, detail shots of just the paintings on food safe stoneware clay, finished cone 7 glaze fired work, unfired paintings, raku, square tiles, functional stoneware, paintings on rice paper. All of this work is hand painted by Elizabeth Priddy. All fired work is either raku or cone 7 stoneware with imagery painted into the glaze and then fired one time. The music is an original composition by Jeffery Priddy.

  • These are underglazes painted in a watercolor method with a chinese brush on clay. Usually I paint on flat tile pieces, but the ones in the functional section are painted on regular pots. They are all fired at cone 7.

  • An exquisite audiovisual feast. You're still the only artist I know who makes bees look translucent, like real ones. Thanks for the inspiration. -- Don in IL

  • These painting are exquisite. Pardon my ignorance, but are these over glazes, or just how are these paintings created?

  • Oh, Elizabeth! These things are stunningly gorgeous. The music fits very well. As someone said on another venue, you are able to capture the essence of the image without it being heavy. WOW. Judy in N. Ca.
