  • YO could you tell me where you taped this.....I have been tryin to find places to spot planes landing...besides my backyard(which sucks)...if you could help thanks

  • no doubt about that! The economy there is terrible to right now! If you check out my vids I have me landing and taking off from BUF!

  • Oh people are much better in big Buff, but you have to dodge those 30 foot snow drifts to see 'em! No matter where you live though you still have Buffalo in the heart.

  • i moved out to HOT Arizona and do not really like it! I would prefer Buffalo because the people are friendly and my family lives back there.

  • Cool, I might need to head back to big Buff to visit my mother who for unknown reasons went besirk and moved back to Buffalo from sunny hot and humid South Florida!

  • US Air has 757-200's and A321's coming in later at night and they leave first thing in the morning. They come in and fly out to CLT.

  • Well, years ago Buffalo was the 2nd largest city in NY State. In the mid 70's people started moving out particularly to the SE US (South Florida for my family in 1980). The Blizzard of 77 was the nail for most of us with the perpetual bad economy in Buffalo. With the loss of much of its population went the need to bring such large aircraft in. My cousin came in last week on a SW 737-300 so that's as large as they usually get at KBUF. Shame...it's my hometown as a kid.

  • Really? I never knew that those big of planes would land there. Is [was] that runway big enough and if it is why don't they land there anymore?

  • Being born in 1969 and raised in Big Buff till 1980 (moved to Florida) it was a different game back them. We had 707's DC-8's 727's L-1011's... Even during the 80's when flying back home to see relatives it was USair Bac 111's, United 727's, Peoplexpress 737's, Piedmont 737-400's....now its just Regional Jets in KBUF.

  • Pretty nice shots...not much fun there the past ten years or so...It was really great back in the 60 & 70's when you never knew what you might see...L-1011's......707's'''''new DC-10s....DC-8's I still like it around there...I'm happy to see a Dash-8...keep the tower and approach on the scanner and make sure to stop to get munchy's before you get there
