The Asus EEE Pad Transformer is the newest Android tablet on the market, and one I absolutely fell in love with when I reviewed it. As I wrote in my conclusion: The Transformer is the tablet Android fans deserve. I'm disappointed I have to send my review unit back to the folks at Asus. Before, whenever anyone asked me which tablet they should buy, my answer was always "The iPad 2." Now, I can confidently recommend another extremely capable alternative. If you are in the market for a tablet, you owe it to yourself to look at the Transformer.

While I also gave a favorable iPad 2 review, one of them has to be superior to the other, right? So it only makes sense to put the Transformer up against the iPad 2, allowing these two tablets to fight it out head-to-head and see which come out as the true victor.

We put them through six rounds: Screen Speed Browser Apps Operating System Intangibles

You'll have to watch the video to find out the victor, but we'll give you this much of a hint, it doesn't end in a tie.

Check out the video and let us know in the comments what you think of both the iPad 2 and the Asus EEE Pad Transformer.

  • They're both great as the review said, but the Asus Transformer Prime and Androids are OPEN. You can tweak them, customize it, simple drag n drop, no hassles having to go through iTunes all the time just to copy/transfer. Also the Prime has a SD slot! Very convenient for upgradeable memory, copy/transferring, or whatnot. Last but not least, the transformer 700 is coming out which is even BETTER than the Prime or the Transformer. Android is taking over. Long live PC.

  • the vote-bar spoils the result. If the ipad wins it would be red.

  • @KSKproductionsTV Millions? You mean half a million. And they are not way way better. People only use major apps that are on Android as well. Btw Do you use all 500,000 apps?

  • Android <3

  • @tanysozi iPad 2 is 599, Transformer Prime is 599, the Transformer is 399

  • Can the flash turned off on android 2.2 ?

  • @vidaction u sound stupid i bought a transformer for the same price i bought my ipad2 at bestbuy u numbnut

  • @vidaction that's just a way for Apple users to justify their stupidity.

  • @GunZi200 Suers gonna sue.

  • My brother has an iPad 2 and I have the Transformer. With Flash disabled my TF is faster and no lag at all, all the apps my brother has I have, he can't play emulators while I can, and my tablet is more durable. iFail.

  • iPad 2 is killer

  • @ocboy188 And now the iPad 2 has iCloud. Which you should have known even though they didn't say it in the review. You should know because you obviously have an iPad 2 considering how much you know. If not, it's understandable you have not yet updated it to iOS 5.0.1
