Brooke's POV. “You’re lucky you have a big mouth.” Joe winks. “Oh, I’m lucky am I?” I reply slyly, raising one eyebrow playfully. “Oh, you have no idea,” Joe says with a devious grin. “I think I do…” I reply and wink. “I think we might need to test that theory later on…” Joe replies. “I think you’re right…” I grin. “Oh my God!” Summer cries loudly. “Joe!” Nick yells. I look over at Nick and Summer who both have shock and horror etched into their features. “What?!” Joe and I ask in unison, both totally joking of course. “You guys are disgusting!” Summer exclaims. “Not to mention totally inappropriate!” Nick seconds. “What? It’s not my fault girls have a talent for sticking as much as possible into their mouths…” I reply innocently. Nick’s jaw basically drops to the table and Summer looks nauseous. “Suck it up guys…” Joe jokes. I laugh. “Gladly…” I say to Joe in a flirty voice. “BROOKE!” Summer cries. I look over at her and grin. “What? It’s not every day things like this come up… I’d like to prove myself, thank you very much…” I say slyly. Joe looks down at me and grins. “Yeah, what’s wrong with Brooke demonstrating how well she can put things in her mouth?” Joe jokes in a serious tone. “Shut up! SHUT UP! I’m scarred for life! You guys have permanently damaged me! Oh my God. Oh God… I just got visuals… Damn my creative brain! Damn you two horndogs!” Nick cries. Joe and I both start laughing uncontrollably. “Chill Nick, we were kidding,” Joe says to him and Summer, but he looks at me and winks. “Ew,” Summer mutters. It stays quiet for a while, while we eat. Joe’s thigh is pressed up against mine and I feel the heat of his leg radiating through his jeans. I smile. An hour later we’re still at the table. It has been cleaned I’m stuffed. My head is resting in Joe’s lap and he’s stroking my hair sweetly. Summer and Joe are having an animated discussion about tomorrow’s concert. Tonight they won’t be having one, they’re doing a talk show instead. That means we’ll be driving all night, so sleeping on the bus for the first time. It’ll be like a giant sleepover! Nick has gotten his guitar and now he starts playing around with some chords. I slowly start to doze off to the soft sounds of him playing something beautiful.---------
