  • My dad lives in Carpinteria and I go for early morning walks to the Amtrak Station while he sleeps and this horn on 768 and 450 on 785 is the loudest. It might have been the train wash in Goleta that made it sound loud and clear. What do you think Evan?

  • thats definitely a possibility, they do sound much better when they get a wash

  • i saw you back away.

  • yeah 6901 has a loud horn...dont want my ears to shatter

  • 459 is quite a basket case of a locomotive: bad horn, bad bell, goofed up # boards...

  • lets put it this way, 459 is nothing but trouble

  • In Carpinteria when I'm visiting my dad I always talk to engineer Eric on Amtrak #768 at 6901 and he always gives me a horn show. What is the name of the conductor in this video Evan?

  • There is a train wash at the Goleta Amtrak station, Los Angeles Union Station, San Diego Santa Fe Depot Station.

  • your right 6901 is loud and dont forget6953s horn, to me those are the loudest cabcar K5LAs on the surfliner

  • Yea I know but it would be cool!!!
