@TheHobopower As to what you were saying, yes, Discovery Channel, not Animal Planet, is biased for the lion. check out the Animal Face-Off game on Discovery's website. One example, they say a lion would beat a brown bear 9 out of 10 times. But on the show, the tiger lost to the bear. Makes no sense at all.

@TheHobopower Dude, the winners are best guesses. They don't know which would actually win. The experts share all the knowledge they have and tests are conducted. Among the show's experts and probably more people not on the show, they debate which animal would win.

YOUTUBE IS FULL OF REAL FIGHT OF BENGAL TIGER AND BLACK BEAR (BOTH SMALL COUSINS) ......ALL OF THEM BENGAL TIGER WINS EASILY. Bears may have more power but tigers jaw power, 3 IN claws, 4 in canines, speed agility, for arm power, everything leads to tiger winning.

How can people decide how this will work out. In my opinion a tiger will kick bear ass no problem. The tiger is known as the worlds MOST DEADLY PREDADER.
Animal Planet Does not support tigers at all, how they also said a lion would kill a tiger, a walrus would kill a polar bear, all of this is BULL SHIT GO 2 NATIONAL GEOGRAPHICS, the much bigger company who will always take side of the tiger.

both tigers and bears are no match against one biggest threat..............MAN!

i don't have a favorite animal either way, but i'm a REALIST. all things being equal take the largest siberian tiger at say 700lbs and take the largest Kodiak/Polar bear at 1500-
2000lbs and you will end up with a dead kitty !!

There is no reason to think a 500 pound Tiger can own a 1500 pound Kodiak bear. Not in a straight up fight, and even in hunting they wouldn't risk it. People don't view Tigers realistically.

shouldn't the bear be hibernating that time of year?

2 things that kill tigers... Bears and Elephants.

@dennis222100 A Liger hardly have the bone and muscle strenght to carry its body.
Its to slow and not even close to being so strong many believe. Its almost as a genetic failure.
@steve273
do some research on Tiger fatalities in the wild. You'll see that when a tiger is killed by another animal 3/5 times its a brown bear. And of the tigers that we know hae been killed by bears, none of them were of old age or had anything that would weaken their ability to hunt or fight.
Answer, clear and simple: In a head on fight between Brown Bears and Tigers: Brown Bears win

I really agree. People need to learn the limits of their animal...
Most of these fans fantasize about their animals, & feel that it can do anything! Look,
I am a lion fan, but I know a lion cant beat a full grown grizzly. Its just far too robust. Its mostly big cat fans that will never try to look at things rationally...
