GTA was always supposed to be over the top and really '80's.' I thought the cutscenes were hilarious.

@dcsroc1 It was a good game, but one of the best? It wasn't even one of the best in the gta series, nor was it vastly different in style to GTA III. In fact I'm pretty sure it used the same engine. The story was O.K, nothing amazing though, unless you've never seen a 1980's mafia themed film. Nothing new really came out of VC aside from helicopters and a broken plane you could keep in the air so long as you flew straight.
In (my) order of greatness 1,SA,III,VC,LC,2.
