Blue acara jaw locking

This is a video from my 6ft 125 gallon south american cichlid tank at 3 weeks since i purchased the fish. i have 2 oscars, 2 blue acara, 2 jack dempesey's, 2 firemouths, 2 silver dollars and 2 plecos.

i dont know if the pair are male and female, or both female, because pver the past week, i have seen 2 lots of eggs in my tank. if anyone has any information, it would be much appreciated.

i think the song is amusing in regards to the video content. enjoy

It's your plecos that are eating the eggs probably. They sneak up at night when the parents are sleeping, they will eat them every time.

If they are locking like that they definitely seem like they are wanting to spawn.

@Chargeglass yer they have spawned twice now, but they keep getting eaten by the plecos.

Dude those or green terrors bleu acara has more stripes and looks more like a jack dempsey
