Hi all, here's a quick vid to show what I'm up to. I've been spending a little time with my brushes again painting the Castle Ravenloft board game miniatures.

  • I heard that the paint chips off because of the soft plastic.

    Is that true?

please let me know because I have the same game and want to paint it.

  • @snow69413 No chance of that happening once you put a good quality acrylic varnish over it matey. I recommend either Winsor & Newton or Vallejo matt/satin varnish.

  • well done indeed hah.

  • @fend3ry Cheers!

  • Nicely done... I've always been nervous about painting models moulded in this soft plastic for fear of the paint flaking off... With a decent primer, I assume this isn't an issue?

  • @Ogma01 Hi Ogma01, Thanks for the comment. I was apprehensive at first but after hearing of lots of other gamers painting their board game minis I thought I'd give it a go. I use the Vallejo airbrush primer exclusively now. It is a proper primer and etches onto the plastic well. After that I just use acrylics, I have mostly Citadel ones but some Vallejo too. I haven't done much more with the Ravenloft minis in this vid but have now done all my Last Night on Earth minis.

  • @chingerspy Thanks, can't wait to get started.

  • The original Ravenloft was my favorite module.

  • Good job mate, Try painting the transparent ones with clear colour paint just to give it a little definition =)

  • @TowerGuardDM Thanks Wyn! I'll do another video once they've all been fully painted. Waiting for a new chair to come next week as I'm on an old dining chair right now and it's slowley killing off the circulation in my legs :)
