In addition HR 3400 would increase the deficit tremendously -it would make coverage "affordable" based on giving tax credits to individuals. It wouldn't reduce healthcare costs, but would lead to a great expansion of coverage - this would be unsustainable and lead to huge deficit spending. In contrast HR 3200 would increase coverage by creating bargaining power by giving individuals option of buying through an "exchange" and by forcing employers (who have bargaining power) to insure or pay tax.

uh Obama was a corporate lawyer and went to Harvard. Larry Summers is his chief financial adviser. Wikipedia him to find out all the hedge funds he's worked for. What kool aid are you drinking? I agree this debate is not about race. But our country is not having a real debate about Health Care, instead we are talking about Socialism - something undefined and scary and bad and therefore PREVENTING REAL DEBATE ABOUT POLICY. It's a classic tactic by the right and left to pre empt real debate.

Is it honestly that important whether there is a cap of how much money a doctor could make compared to all the millions of uninsured who won't be able to see a doctor today? Who will wait until their cancers, their apendicitises, their pneumonias become fatal to go to a hospital. What a joke.Maybe that's why Buyer seemed like he was acting. He was trying to appease a rabid crowd that was running with fear, anger and ignorance. Folks are not getting unbiased info, therefore misinformation reigns.

Got news for you, bud, there are a hundred black people we would vote for in a hearthbeat to run our government that would do a far sight better than the Idiot-In-Chief, and they would do it out of a love of America and a sense of doing right for all Americans instead of turning this country into a socialist utopia.

It's truly sad that all these people can't just be honest and say what it is they're all really upset about. He's black. That scares them. I tell ya, these congressmen need to get caught up on what czars are. He needs to get on youtube and study study study :). It's all right here congressmen; right here; learn what a czar is. These people are suppose to be our leaders? Where the hell have they been on what is going on.

Take the argument about socialism out of the mix, and there still isn't a real debate about health care, and it has nothing to do with tactics by the right. HR 3400 has been introduced with more effective mechanisms for resolving shortcomings in the present systems, and doesn't require the government bureaucracy that HR 3200 calls for, yet there is no consideration by the administration or Congress. There is no desire on their part for debate, simply to impose their view of policy upon everyone.
