Here is a useless fact: At 1:17 you can see Lindy Thackston working for radio Lemans. She is now a pit lane reporter for IndyCar on versus.

Very scary. I work on the 18 car and our pit box was right next to that. Gave me nightmares especially being 10 ft away and watching his face literally burn off. It said 4-6 months recovary for him.

Unfortunate sloppy pit timing with volatile racing gas. I'm sure the Audi pits would have different results under the same circumstances!

crew member Keith Jones, age 49, in his recovery process from the burns he sustained from this incident.

I was at the Mid-Ohio race this past weekend. Keith Jones was there with visible burns, but they brought him up at victory circle and honored him and he received the biggest applause out of the entire day. It was a great sight to see after the horrible accident.
