@Manojvarughese : conventional movies will evolve into documentary style trying to portray slice of life events.

@sandy57040 : U will be watching computer generated movies as a whole, no need of set shoots, actors or actresses, stunts or explosions. There will be a time when virtual CGI movies overtake conventional movies. I would say 100 years is too long, 50 is what it's to be likely.

AVATAR has pushed CGI to the next level. I want to tell something, no matter how hard they do there is something lacking because its not real. I have researched on CGI for all most 3 yrs what i found was u cant cheat real world. CGI is still in its infancy even now after avatar. There still lots to be done to make it look real. Maybe in next 100 yrs it may become possible.

@arya237 Avatar is a very unique film in its depiction of a pure world and how ones actions effect that world as seen from the eyes of "another" because the Na'Vi are alien yet human like we cant "label" them we can only see them as human "like" beings living in the world. Becuse we dont have the ability to prejudge who they are from past history we can only see with brutal honesty the mechanism of conflict and lack of compassion from there eyes.

The so called magic ponytail is called a "queue" and there are a lot of false rumors going around that its used to father children , The fantasy Na'Vi race are mammals just like us and there anatomy is just like ours when it comes to raising children, The Queue is one of there "unique" features and is used to show there deep conection to there world the "bound" in there langage is called "tsahaylu"

@arya237 Good point...but, actually bonding 'physically' with a different species....rather primitive and suggestive, I'd say.... Still, an excellent film with the 3D effects! I can't afford all the technological requirements just to watch at home in 3D... new television, new 3D enabled BluRay player, the 3D Blu Ray disc...the glasses... it's all just too damn expensive! I guess that anaglyphic 3D videos and DVDs are going to be scrapped now in favor of this more lucrative 3D business!
