Clarification - this, of course, is a nasheed and not the original sung by Yusuf in the 1970's.

@bindasUA - Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) wrote this. It was on his 1972 Catch Bull at Four album, but it could refer to much earlier when he had TB, and his teenage music career ended. To me it is about starting over - "There is work I must now begin. All my dreams have blown away." Later he says, "There will be an evening in the end." - a metaphor for death? Now, Yusuf says he is learning the meaning of some of his early songs - it could have foreshadowed his conversion to Islam. ??
