@1CaptainAustralia1 still amazes me how can the aircraft take off without losing speed in air with such weight, without full thrust !! :-)

thats a nice looking wing

Taking off with the barest minimum power (= using up maximum runway length) reduces wear and tear on the engines and also reduces stress fatigue on the fuselage. On the flip side it uses more fuel (!). True. Jet engines are most efficient and maximum power.

you had PLENTY of rwy left!!!

@jfjenofhrenon I know right.

Longgggggg drag awesome i like it :)

@jlebesis No, Captain Australia is correct. A common practice amongst some airlines are reduced power take offs. In fact an Emirates A340 over ran RWY 34 in 2009 at Melbourne Airport because the pilot entered the wrong numbers into the FMC and had insufficient thrust to become airborne. Reduced power take offs allow airlines to save fuel and if all procedures and numbers are calculated correctly they are perfectly safe.

@drowzy721 Oh.... i see, makes sense thanks you i was wondering what that was LOL

@1CaptainAustralia1 Um, really? That seems like a very unlikely scenario... A pilot in charge of an aircraft like that doesnt just decide to use 'all' the runway. Ill check my facts too, but I know as a pilot in training that this is far from likely.
The pilots are just using as much runway as possible to make themselves look good with their fuel usage, taking off at the minimum power they can get away with. A passenger aircraft would never be overloaded to the point where the whole runway is essential for the takeoff.
