Orthodoxy is the ONLY true Christian religion (the gospel) to CHRISTOS! The Catholic separation from the Orthodoxy world, in the 800's A.D. allowed many other christian religions to form claiming to be the "the one and only" true religion to Christianity ... BLASPHEMY! To this day, stands the reason why Christianity is failing because of this fatal mistake (the true internal message of its teachings changed too often for convenience) All Christian religions are NOT the same! It's Orthodoxy!

@jahellaspartan i agree,except for the part about about other churches not being christian, which is how this came across,idk if you meant this that way or not, but it comes across as judgemental,and while your correct about orthodoxy, we should not judge or shun others,but instead lead by example. Jesus came to Earth, not with a holy book, but with the Word, and with this Word has not written a book, but he founded a Church, One Only Church, that the Word of God calls the Mystical Body of Christ, the Bride of Christ, ect ...

To be Christian and be a part of Christ must therefore be part of this Church, and in the Bible himself there is not the word Christianity, but the "Church" and the "Christians" belonging to this Church.

@jahellaspartan Jesus came to abolish religion. It isn't about the type of churches we worship at, the language we pray in, the robes we wear, or the traditions we cling to; It is about following Christ (call him Christos if you like). All who believe are saved. We should give everything up for him, and make believers of all nations. You should focus more on that than church doctrine.

@optimatus Holy Scriptures are part of the entire Holy Tradition (Risen Christ's 40 days' teaching, etc) referred to by St. John at end of his Gospel ("the whole world would not contain all He did") His descent into Hades has references in I Peter 3:19 ("prisoners"); Matt. 28: 53ff the OT saints appeared on their way to Paradise from Sheol (Hades). Gospel of Nicodemus often read on Holy Fri eve service poetically describing this descent to rescue Adam and Eve with all believers.
