First try of my Matrox video capture card, trashpicked from a junked computer! The classic racing game Pole Position, as played on my Atari 2600 -- the real thing, not emulated!

  • Terrible port in the Atari 2600, and the 5200 version was slightly better. But the 7800 managed to bring us ( finally) a good port of pole position :)

  • @Alaska1925 They did the best they could, given the limitations of the 2600 hardware.

  • Now this was a must-have cartridge back in the day. I always wondered: Why the rest of the cars were so different from yours Xddd

  • @Hellfireknightmare That's because the other cars were drawn using the 2600's background graphics, which have a much lower resolution than the foreground graphics.

  • Sorry, these games kick ass over the garbage of today. Todays games are just POS!

  • By God this must be one of the high-end Atari 2600 games that really pushed to the limits of the system's capability. I didn't think the Atari could handle a game this advanced.

  • great game for its time

  • Besto looking game of atari in those years

  • GTL! Gym Tan Laundry! looks like the jersey shore guys grew up on this game!

  • I love this game i used to have it my Mom got the Atari 7800 along with a some nice games for a good price some of the games were Ms. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Midnight Magic, Double Dragon, Kung Fu Master and a few others.

  • Enduro is Atari's best racing game but I still owned and played this for countless hours.

  • @Alaska1925 The 2600 only had 128 Bytes of Ram and no video ram. This simple reply has used up 128 characters / bytes alone.

  • me acuerdo haber jugado ese juego en los 80s, por cierto esas lineas rojas-blancas a los lados joden la vista! estaba mucho mejor el Enduro de Activision para atari 2600
