I'm confused I haven't read anywhere that Oedipus was their 32nd son I've only read he was their first child and if he could be 31 others..how could this tragedy have taken place? How would they know which son was going to kill Luais? idunno but I like it.. I'm just a little confused

@Jeremy12three actually the music doesn't relate the story that way.

For there are many versions. The queen would be needed to make kids (lots of them). Oedipus would be son number 32. His mother would have had postpartum depression.

In an attempt of making her happier, the son would have had an incestuous relation with her, so he was not only number 32 now but something more.

The part of his father and the rest I'm not sure but this is the song's perspective on the story :)

@cassie7373 I can't fit the whole story on here, but Oedipus was abandoned by his parents when he was a baby, so when he grew up he set out on a journey, killed his father, not knowing that was his dad. His dad was a king so Oedipus became king of that land. His mother was the Queen and was still alive, so his mom became his wife. (Remember he doesn't know the queen is his mom) They have kids together. Eventually they find out and the queen, kills herself. Google the whole thing. It's so sad. :c
