@fiandrhi the end pin thats on modern cellos and basses was invented long after the viola da gamba family fell out of favor to the modern violin family. Early cellist didn't use end pins either.

to me the Viola De Gamba is like the Guitar and Cello's love child, now this anachronistic, but still it provides a lot of the benefits of both. Beautiful instrument sir.

@reppindat808 Thanks for your comment. I am really glad you like it. Just wanted to add that its a viola da gamba I am playing and not a cello (though I play cello too!).
