We follow the cousin and son in law of Prophet Muhammad and his direct bloodline. Who do you follow? Saddam was a genocidal bastard who is Islamic in name only. Unless our religion advocates senseless genocide against Kurds and whatnot, I don't think Saddam can be considered a Muslim.
