A good friend and I had the *biggest* crush on Scott Jacoby in the early/mid '70s. Then she met him, and I was more jealous than I ever admitted to her! It's a funny memory now, but great to see this clip to remember exactly why we were so breathless...thanks!

never mind.. i found out his name: Sam Melville! and poor guy died back in '89, from heart failure at 52. Man, he was a hottie. RIP Sam.

omg, after seeing this, i just had a flashback to the 70s again and i just remembered the Rookies tv show! Omg, does anyone remember the name of the of the actor who plays the cop? I used to have the biggest crush on him as a kid! Sigh....

Retroplex channel recently showed the movie that Scott was in called "Our Winning Season." The movie takes place in 1967 and Scott plays a high school track athlete.
