In Pursuit Of The Largest, 'the DVD', a collection of carp fishing clips filmed between 1996 and 2009.

Far from being Hollywood, much of the footage is amateur, home-video style, taken from several different cameras over a long period of time. It's quite often shot hands-free, and sometimes not in the greatest conditions for filming, but then this is what makes it so real.

Look through the shakes and occasional glitches to marvel at some of the fish that helped make big carp fishing what it is today. Stick the kettle on and reminisce, watching old history fish like the Yateley North Lake's Bazil, and the Car Park Lake's Heather The Leather; two of the most famous
carp to have ever swum in our waters.

Also included are tales and footage from Oxfordshire's Big S, the Test Valley's Nutsey, The Big Pit, The Lea Valleys Relief Channel, Sonning Eye, Linch Hill's Christchurch, Longfield's Road Lake, and of course, the mighty
Burghfield, near Reading, home to one of the most prized and elusive commons in the country. All that and more; well over three hours of precious archive footage for the price of a round of drinks...that's got to be good value.

It won't teach you how to spod out pellet or shrink down tubing, but if you've ever been bitten by the big carp bug, then you simply can't fail to enjoy watching this DVD.

Terry Hearn.

  • id love 2 have had bazel..... what a fish

  • does it really matter how long he was a post man or how long he spent on the dole in 2011 he will go down in english carp fishing history and as caught all the most sought after carp in the country i.e the burfield common say no more.

  • @timHYPERLITE He didn't work for a month as a postman (i have no idea where you heard that because that is bollocks) He worked much longer as a postman but that is beside the point. I don't care how big your PB is or how hard the lake was, your still making out that Terry can fish waters that no one else can and that his effort is 'sad'. These are very poor excuses for your own short comings. If that is how you really think then you're watching the wrong bloody video.

  • @RupertTorp sorry but its not an exaggeration. he worked a month as a postman and spent 3years on the dole.lol im not the chuck it and see carper.im at the mo searching for a 43lb mirror at turnford pits on a lake with only 20 carp in it.my PB is 32lb from walthamstow, lower mainard which is a fookin hard water.

  • @timHYPERLITE 'Years' is an exaggeration. That is proper carp fishing, proper carp fishing requires a lot of effort and skill. Lots of people are like you, they read the books, they buy the mags, they say they are into carp fishing but then they complain about 20 year waiting lists that don't exist. When i told you about the ticket availability did you go and buy a ticket? No you didn't because you don't want one anyway. Happy to complain but when it's put on a plate you don't take it.

  • @timHYPERLITE Car Park lake and Horton are indeed still available...

  • @timHYPERLITE He did that because someone advised him to do that so he could fish full-time as long as possible. Nothing sad about his life, he's just very passionate about his angling and willing to do a lot more then most of us would. He's just one of the few that had the guts to follow his dreams, I have nothing but respect for Terry Hearn.

  • @RupertTorp yeah but that "effort" is more like madness with hearn.i read his book.he was on the dole for years and just went fishing.he would even have to scrounge food from people when theyre session was over.maybe its me but i found his life really sad,he was like an addict

  • @timHYPERLITE Now you can see my point, its annoying that people look at guys like Terry and think "hes doing better than everyone else because he gets to fish places where no one else can go"... but in most cases that is not the case, they just put more effort in and happen to be very good at it.

  • @RupertTorp cool story,bro
