When the Disney Channel first aired Darkwing Duck in March 1991, they used a slightly different opening compared to the current version that's been used for the Toon Disney airings, the DVDs and videos, the Disney Afternoon, etc. Instead of the more jazz-based theme that people were familiar with, they instead used a more rock-based theme song. Disney continued to use this theme until the show was moved to syndication as part of the Disney Afternoon in Fall 1991, afterwhich the current theme was used, and has been used since. Enjoy the original version of the popular Darkwing Duck theme song!

This show was awesome. Hey Disney why don't you put on shows like this. Instead of what's on Disney now.

Am I the only one who wants a Darkwing Duck game built kinda like Batman: Arkham City ? Imagine a city (with the color palette of the cartoon series, of course) where you, as DW, are free to explore and patrol, be it on foot, in your motorcycle, or even your airplane. They already have the villains and gadgets... It would be great!

The way they say "Let's get dangerous" the second time sounds really weird.

I read that the original Darkwing Duck premiere/pilot was an hour special that had additional footage that disappeared when they re-edited into two half hours for its regular run. (Youda think they would've put that version on the DVD box set, which they did not.) Anybody have a clue where that version might be viewable?

Nice, I like the titles and animation on this original intro much better. The original theme is good, but I think the later theme ended up sounding a bit better, or maybe it's just nostalgia kicking in?
