Question: Would not using tap water kill off some of the good bacteria since it has chlorine? Shouldn't distilled or reverse osmosis water be used (chemical free)?

good job bro.

Have you thought about using bacteria like rid-X or some other bacteria to increase the methane production and to decompose the maneur faster? I understand that water temerature is also a factor so if you are to increase the temp inside the digester you will have faster acting bacteria and gas production would increase, also your afluent (the liquid left over) will be clear and full of nutrients for your plants.

thanks
-
can you send me the exact dimensions you used

I really like this video it was very well thought out.would this have worked as a septic system and have just used the gas from that for heating and cooking?
-
how about using it as an outhouse?

nice presentation thanks

whats the psi of the gas coming out?
-
thank u. ur presentation is so good i downloaded it.
I would probably use a different product to seal the inside of the dome. I used a cold tar product from Home Depot which smells like tar when I turn on the gas at the stove. :-(

This is a great video of an interesting home anaerobic digester. A really decent tour of the system's layout, operation, and product. Of course, I want to know more, especially what would be done differently if they could do it again.
