Did this one in a day, it's an awesome ride. Very beautiful, and if the trail is dry, the "stone dust" is very doable. Thanks so much for sharing! I think the best place to rest is at the junction of the old and the new canal. I remember sitting there with a banana and water, and I was completely content. I rode to Rochester this summer, and I wasn't allowed to go any farther, because I was 16 and was doing it solo. I plan to go all the way to Albany this June.
