Strange that Barrington ended up with the funnel cloud instead of Cranston or Providence or even Pawtucket. Wasn't it moving NE?

I remember this, I knew about the severe thunderstorm warning, but then I looked outside at the green sky, and I knew something was up. Sure enough, I turned on WPRI, which had very good coverage I might add, and there was a tornado warning. I live less then a mile from where the waterspout touched down in Barrington.

It wasnt rotating here, but it had bright lightning and loud thunder, and very dark skies. Scared that the severe tornadic activity would of approached my area, but it passed to the south and east. I was downstairs in my basement, tuned to WCVB/WHDH. WLNE failed to come in on my TV probably due to the rotation of the storm to my south and east

pretty good, very accurate. during this storm, i saw a HUGE lightning bolt hit about 20 feet away from me!!!!

How was wjar's coverage, the only reason i was on 6 is beacause when fliping through station's not even knowing that we were going to storm's i heard "Rotation" i was hooked, and you must have has cool lighting we could here it way before it came our way.

When was this? Was a Tornado Warning offically issued for Providence County (Cranston area?)?

The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down Wednesday afternoon in Swansea and there was a waterspout over Barrington Beach
