This is the Repower MM92, rated power: 2000kW, rotor diameter: 92.5m, hub height: 100m. These turbines usually shut down at about 25 m/s or 55 mph, this is the maximum operational limit The time span in the video is about 2 hours while the wind speed went up from about 18 m/s to 30 m/s. When the wind was gusting up to 30 m/s the rotor blades were pitched out of the wind.

I dont know why people hate these so much, I love wind turbines and think they are in a way beautiful, I could see myself sitting outside on my porch watching them turn, listening to the soft wooshing for hours with a cold drink.

Here in Brazil the wind are so strong that when the speed became 25 m/s all the tower stop. The media of wind here in northest Brazil is aproximately 8,5 m/s

Can you explain to me what legitimate "scientist" would place a weather station immediately next to a busy intersection of two state highways where the prevailing winds and location of the weather station guarantee that the temperature sensors are going to pick up the reflected and radiated heat from the blacktop roads intersecting at the location? I can show you one placed exactly that way. But oh yes. You're into REAL "science".

Who is the "we" your addressing? You got a turd in your pocket? You mean the "climate crusaders" that are so brainwashed they can't even wrap their minds around the fact that the "climate models" they worship are computer programs that are specifically designed to produce a specific result using the inputted data? You folks conduct interesting "science". Like placing "weather stations" where they're most affected by radiated energy and heat from structures, roads, etc.

And BTW, I'm a diesel technician and I deal with more "science" on a daily basis than most "scientists", who mainly seem to run around the countryside talking instead of working. I deal with physics, chemistry, hydraulics, pneumatics, computers, electronics and electrical systems daily and I guarantee you can't fathom the technology I deal with. Can you even change your own oil, climate boy?

Extensive education and background? Like all the scientist that claim "space is a vacuum" despite the fact that it obviously contains matter and the technicial definition of a "vacuum" is a volume devoid of matter? THOSE "educated" scientists? More common sense you can't muster...

You don't have the first damn clue how much energy and "CO2 emission" goes into the manufacture, transportation and construction of one wind turbine, do you? One of the biggest obstacles you face is your own stupidity. And you can stick your orders concerning what I can and can't do up your ass. This isn't a "forum". It's a COMMENTS PAGE.

If you want to mitigate CO2 emissions stop breathing. And quit drinking carbonated beverages that emit CO2 ever time you pop the top.

I'm self-assured because I live in the real world and I work in a field where I know first-hand that the burning of fossil fuels is absolutely necessary to feed you and your eco-freak friends. I fix the tractors and other farm machines that allow farmers and ranchers to put food on YOUR table. What is it that you do for a living again?
