I have never heard of this show as I live in the U.S., by the way. I clicked on this video thinking it was a performance of Gary's on Euro TV from 1998.
I gotts say, this contestant sounds exactly like Numan, circa late 70s, early 80s!! What an incredible performance. If he didn't win First Prize, then the judges need to be shot!!

@darkglobe09 Thanks. I was full of flu at the time, so it could have been a fair bit better I suppose but a truly great experience to be my hero for 5 minutes with all the lights and smoke and 300 people in the audience. If you can find PULP - Bad Cover Version official video I 'm also on that (with my special bit at the very end playing the tubular bells). All the best. Chris

Yeah they literally chopped it in half so I had to relearn a song that I'd been singing for 20 years! I think they try to make each song about 2.30mins long. All the best.
