  • @ Klabac7 - That's really funny that you find her interpretation fast. Not funny haha, but strange to me. I played the entire piece much faster and more rubato when I played it for a Jury this year at Ohio University. And if you haven't heard the recording, find Ben Wahlund's site and listen to the way it is INTENDED. It's intended to be very very fast in the beginning. I didn't quite hit that point because I feel it's too much.

  • Yeah, this is high school...look at the trophies, the chalk board and the dry-erase board in the background. Kudo's to playing this piece....although I'm not a fan of your interpretation. It is what it is....

  • I'm going to guess HS with all the trophies in the BG.

  • Very cool seeing someone else play this piece! I loved playing it. Senior in college or hs? And I can only assume that it was "edited" for time? And also, just out of curiosity, what made you decide to take everything so fast? Not saying it was "wrong" by any means, just a different way of interpreting it than I did. Like the intro, you took your time wih the first four notes or so then sped to the top. Again, just trying to fit the huge piece into a small amount of allotted time?
