Project Editor 2 - Round 1: Bauzi - Tribute - Cowboy Bebop

This is my video for Project Editor 2 - Round 1. In PE a list of contestants battle each other in rounds. Each round has one theme or challenge to edit to. After every round editors get eliminated (due to points they gather in the rounds) until only one editor is left: THE editor and winner!

The theme of this round was to create a tribute to your favorite anime. My favorite anime of all time is Cowboy Bebop and this video is a simple trailer/tribute to the series (and movie).

The video shows the flair and atmosphere of the anime with casino scenes at the beginning which introduce the main characters (yes, Ein is missing, but sadly there was no place for him on my timeline. I'm really sorry for it!). The rest shows other aspects of the show like the awesome gunfights, explosions, more action and kick ass dogfights in space.

Ok the used fonts are quite cheap, but I didn't had more time to find better ones. I don't wanted to make this video too complex with in-your-face effects and editing. The series is simple (if you compare it with today's animations), but yet beautiful animated. The real tribute is to edit this amv "old school"-like for the sake of the anime.

I'm really pleased with the video. It's simple, looks and feels good due to a quite nice flow. Oh yes I do passed round one with it =)

Das mit den eingeblendeten Namen würd ich entweder nochmal überdenken und anders machen oder es generell weglassen. Es hat irgendwie gestört. Ansonsten Schnitt is wie immer sehr gut, vorallem der Anfang. Allerdings war der Höhepunkt vom AMV eher naja. Bissl was fetzigeres vielleicht? xD;

Kann aber auch nur am Lied liegen. Und bei der PCansicht von Ed würd ich mir was besseres im Hintergrund überlegen, sieht recht fad aus. :3 But me likes what me sees.

Mhm... Ich wollte die Namen drinnen lassen wegen dem Trailer-like Feeling, aber die Fonts und Animation sind wirklich billig (technische Probleme um 3 Uhr früh sind böse). Die Texte waren außerdem noch dazu da um den Casino-Materialmangel zu vertuschen.

Ja ein Höhepunkt wäre wirklich nett gewesen. Leider war ich auch wieder auf 1:30 Länge beschränkt. Eh .-.

PC Ansicht von Ed: Mhm daran habe ich nicht gedacht. Der Hintergrund im Video is vom Anime.

also ich würd die titel auf jedenfall drinn lassen. würd nur eine andere font nehmen (in die richtung von rosewood oder so) und nur ein "fade-in" dafür kein "fade-out" statt der jetzigen durchgehenden animation um den intro eindruck noch zu verstärken.

und das lied passt auch - fetzt rein.
